Notes: | •Orientation Workshop: •Attendance at both full workshop days is mandatory. | Written Exam: •Must score a minimum of 75% on Part I and Part II and an overall score of 80%. | *Applying for Registration as Step 3: •Complete 20 hours of Courtroom Observation. •Request ORI Number for background check and complete background check within 3 months of application submission. •Submit application, Courtroom Observation Hours Reporting Form, and $200 registration fee. •Attain Registered status. | *Oral Exam as Step 4: •Must meet registration threshold scores. •Must submit to oral exam within 1st year of registration. •May be subject to REVOCATION for failure to meet registration threshold scores. | Official State Level Designations: •Certified •Language Skilled •Provisionally Approved | •Complete 16 Continuing Interpreter Education (CIE) credits. •Complete 20 law-related interpreting assignments or 40 hours. •Submit completed application and $200 biennial renewal fee. •Failure to comply will result in SUSPENSION and/or REVOCATION. |
